During the Easter holiday I felt like playing some guitar and also recording it. I picked up my trusty Les Paul and brought up the Blues preset on my good old Line 6 Flextone III. I wanted to do something that sounded and felt like ZZ Top, but on a beginners level. Since I’m far away from a PRO guitarist I came up with a something that sounded cool but was easy to nail and record, since good recordings equals zero time consuming edits. The result was this “bad boy” called Prospect, written and recorded in less than 4 hours.
It’s played in the A-minor pentatonic scale with some possible additional notes that probably felt good while playing it.
The song will be released on a single called “Drive” on all streaming platforms on the 5th of May along with a B-side called “Just Whip” that reused the project template and presets.
